We can Imagine

We can imagine

  • We can imagine enriching country and city people’s lives with greater diversity,
  • We can imagine providing a voice to people who have none, who are a forgotten minority, far removed from centres of power, commerce and city faith communities.
  • We can imagine actively demonstrating how faith can affect people, by opening up hope in their lives.
  • We can imagine a world without racism. A world where people are people and race is an opportunity for exploration, not aversion.
  • We can imagine a world of people with greater choice and control. Stepping beyond “helping them” to “living with”.

Goals….

  • We will build relationships between people. Two-way relationships based on mutual respect and interest in each others lives, even if only for a short time. People will come to appreciate the strengths in each others lives.
  • We will provide shaping experiences for young adults, modelling a broader, more diverse, more equitable and inclusive world.
  • We will provide space for reflection. By moving and engaging with people from other areas, we can take people out of their everyday lives and make time for exploration of one’s inner voice.

Attaining goals by working on

There are many activities to be further developed: coordinating camps, working with local and rural communities, helping technology to solve isolation, and supporting Rural community development workers.
In addition, we recognise that long-term effectiveness will require funding models that do not depend on a constant flow of grants. So sustainability will require growth of new revenue models.
