Many in the Uniting Church may not know about the Circles of Interest set up by the National Assembly.
Assembly Circles are a platform for learning and sharing, where you can contribute to the national work of Church. It is a space for deepening faith and listening to where God is leading us. Together we can make a difference in God’s mission in the world.
The Circles are groups for sharing and discussing issues related to our mission and ministry as the Church. Each Circle is facilitated by a panel of people tasked with providing content for thought and discussion, suggesting and providing resources related to the area of interest, and helping initiate discussion around issues and topics related to the Circle’s focus.
They are free to join and you can participate in more than one and choose your own level of active involvement. Circle members must be 18 years or older and agree to abide by the Circle Code of Conduct. People who are not members of the Uniting Church are welcome to participate.
The Circles include Walking Together as First & second peoples; Growing in Faith; Transforming Worship; Discipling the Next Generation; Working for Justice; Being a Multicultural church; and Seeking Common ground.
