Last Monday saw our Joint Annual “Christmas in July” Luncheon held at Gordon by the Friendship Circle Craft, Coffee ‘n’ Craft Chatters and Friendship Circle groups (together with some lucky husbands!). A cheery 28 of us gathered in the festively decorated hall (complete with Christmas tree, table decorations and crackers) to enjoy a sumptuous feast of Christmas fare. We had a choice of three hearty and very yummy winter soups (thank you ladies), warmed crusty rolls and artisan breads, cheese and biscuits, and dips. To help all that settle, Lesley led us in a humorous Christmas Trivia quiz and interesting stories so we could be ready to tuck into classic hot Christmas pudding, custard, special Christmas ice cream, decadent brandied strawberries and fruit salad, with tea and coffee to finish a very happy afternoon. Thank you ladies (including Lyn and Lesley for your terrific planning) for your generous and wonderful help on the day and making it such a fun occasion! Pru Tout
